Content Management System (
CMS)
is a computer system that allows publishing, editing, and modifying content as well as site maintenance from a central page. It provides a collection of procedures used to manage workflow in a collaborative environment. These procedures can be manual or computer-based.' Wikipedia
Our CMS is multi-dimential meaning stores can have categories, sub-categories, sub-sub-categories, etc. The structure can be as complex as necessary. However, we prefer using only categories and sub-categories to keep the navigation clean and simple for the users.
The term
Tags means to tag an item to a category. Then that item is visible in that store and that category. Prices are also selected during the tagging process.
To tag an item to a category, simply select a category - then it turns green and you should see the name appear under Category Name. Then select an item on the left table under Items by entering an Item Price and Price Alt, then click the Tag button. You will now see the item on the Tagged table. If you have many items, it's easier to navigate by entering a filter search string, like an example shoes and clicking the Search button. You will narrow down the list and then show all items with the name (or part of a name) or Product ID 'shoes'. Search filters work with the Tagged table as well.
In the CMS, you can change the Item details, Tag details, or the store structure at any time.
